Cliffsend Parish Council Seek Your View

We would like to make you aware of a new planning application in Cliffsend. Several residents have shown interest in this. Any resident can give their view on a planning application directly to Thanet District Council Planning Services. We would encourage residents to do this, regardless of whether their views are in favour of the application or otherwise. As your Parish Council, we also seek your views so we can properly represent you.

The planning application is titled “the erection of detached three storey building to accommodate convenience goods retail unit (Use Class Ea) at ground floor level with associated staff facilities, storage and office on first and second floor levels, together with extension of existing car park and alterations to landscaping” The proposed building location is at the corner of Bakers Field And Cliffs End Road, Cliffsend. It is referenced as F/TH/23/1435 on the TDC planning website.

As your Parish Council, we are not seeking to influence you, but to seek your views by 14th December 2023. The time allowed to do this is short and not determined by us.

A word of explanation to help you understand the application - Class E usage covers a wide range of commercial, business and service uses. It includes permitted development rights to change to other uses within the Class E category, and to change to dwellings and flats with prior permission. Please “Google” for further details.
